There are many firms out there like Haslers, and indeed many more who have not taken the networking plunge. For both there are risks in their different approaches. By not joining a network you could lose clients that require a firm to meet their needs as they expand. You also miss the opportunity to increase your knowledge base and expertise through communication with your peers.

As for network members, increasingly onerous rules, and the risk of liability for another member firm's actions, means that the structure of the so-called 'network' must be carefully considered.
