dinner as he delivers a broadside to the UK's corporate tax regime

The president of the CBI is to take the Chancellor to task this evening in a
no holds barred speech at the employer body's annual dinner.
The lobby group has been one of the most dissenting voices among those
protesting against the government's stance on corporate tax and president Martin
Broughton is expected not to pull his punches this evening.
'What business wants from the system of corporate taxation is clarity,
certainty, and competitiveness,' Broughton will say, according to the
FT.'
What we are getting is cost, complexity, and capricousness.... it cannot go on
like this.'
This week the Chancellor is also set to face the ABI as he continues his
efforts to appease the business community about the UKs corporate tax landscape.
Broughton will add that without a more pragmatic 'long-term approach to the
taxation of business' companies will continue to head for more accomodating tax
regimes.
