Former James Bond star, Sir Sean Connery, has revealed how much money he paid in taxes over the last six years, to dispel any doubts about his Scottish patriotism.
The Scot, who played the quintessential British spy six times, disclosed that between 1997/98 and 2002/03 he paid £3.69m in taxes and prior to that he paid $4.5m (£2.8m) for the salaries he earned in Hollywood for starring in the films First Knight, Indiana Jones and The Russia House.
Connery was reported in the Guardian as saying: 'I pay full tax wherever I am working.
'Since I've gone out of my way to bring film projects to the UK, instead of Hollywood, that's meant I've paid full tax here.'
