The company is looking to increase its worldwide network of 3,500 client-facing IT staff, working on strategic, security and control-related projects that address governance, management and regulatory compliance.
‘We continue to see high levels of demand for IT advisory and assurance services, said Nick Woodward, Ernst & Young information systems assurance and advisory services partner.
‘This is being driven by continued investment in IT transformation programmes, such as supply chain improvement, and the challenges of managing increasing volumes of data and the continuing assurance agenda, driven by compliance directives.’
In addition to a graduate recruitment programme, Ernst & Young is seeking more senior IT professionals to help bridge the knowledge gap between business and IT, particularly from people with experience of IT transformation programmes.
‘We are looking for a range of skills,’ said Woodward.
‘We are currently focusing
on roles in data analytics, enterprise resource planning, IT strategy, programme management and security.’
Beyond the requisite skills level, Woodward says prospective recruits need to match Ernst & Young’s range of disciplines and industries in terms of professional background and personality.
‘We need excellent communications skills, integrity, commercial awareness, and the ability to learn and adapt quickly,’ he said.
