Volvo extends IT testing contract

Logica will continue to test the car manufacturer's IT applications and systems

Volvo Car Corporation has extended its agreement with Logica to test its IT applications and systems.

The announcement follows the supplier's testing work at the manufacturer's centre in Sweden that has been carried out for a year.

As well as performance testing, Logica will now provide services functional testing.

Volvo claims that benefits of outsourcing the function so far include more cost efficiency through a large proportion of automated testing.
