Management and engineering consultancy Hyder Consulting has posted half-year profits in line with expectations and 'significantly higher' than last year.
Pre-tax profit was £1.9m, a whopping 234% increase on the same period last year, while sales grew to £63.9m from £60.2m. This was partly due to a number of acquisitions the firm made earlier in the year.
Chairman Sir Alan Thomas said that a strong order book gives him 'confidence' for the second half of its trading year, as most of its markets 'remain strong'.
