Xantus named IT consultant of the year twice in a row

A member of Xantus Consulting has been named IT consultant of the year for the second year running by the British Computer Society.

John Webb, senior consultant at Xantas won the award for his work with high street pharmacy group Boots. Webb's role involved advising the Nottingham head-quartered business when Xantas replaced its data network for all locations within the UK and Ireland.

The project was a success and all of the clients' objectives were met, the new data network delivered and a saving estimated at £9m made over the contract term.

Commenting on Webb's achievement Steve Watmough, managing director, said: 'John's hard work and commitment is well demonstrated by the successful delivery of this project, he deserves the recognition these prestigious awards will bring.'

Webb has been with the company since 2001, prior to that he was at electronic data outsourcing company ADF.

On winning the award Webb said: 'I am absolutely delighted to have received this award, both personally and for Xantus.'
