RSS feedsSamsung has expanded its range of laser printers with four new models covering a wide price and performance range.
The top models are the ML7000N and ML7000P. Both are 16ppm duplex printers (capable of printing on both sides of the page), with a 600dpi print resolution and 12Mb of RAM. The ML7000N has an RRP of £1,232, the ML7000P, £997.
At mid-range is the 12ppm ML6050, with an RRP of £386. With a duty cycle of 15,000 pages a month, it's suitable for small office use and has a 250-sheet paper tray, expandable to 500 sheets.
The ML5100A is of most interest, since it's a new entry-level printer with a bargain RRP of £292. This 8ppm 600dpi printer has 4Mb of RAM and HP PCL6 emulation, together with both parallel and USB connections. Incidentally, Samsung has also stated significantly lower estimated street prices for all models and in the case of the ML5100A, this is a paltry £198.
